A senior Arabic diplomat in Beirut said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received , a few days ago , a personal letter from President Barack Obama has not disclosed .

 

Lebanese daily newspaper al-Akhbar reported that the letter is composed of "three pages, dealing with bilateral relations between the two countries and the pursuit of its development and the latest developments in the region, where Obama expressed his willingness to cooperate with Syria, Damascus has responded to the letter, according to diplomatic source. "

 

Diplomatic sources revealed that the U.S. president's visit to Syria has become a serious question that might occur during the next two months likely after Eid .
