Syrian Cardiologist replaces valve without surgery

 

For the first time in the world, a Syrian Cardiologist, Wassem al-Khouri, succeeds to replace a heart valve of a French woman, 96, without surgery.
 
Dr. al-Khouri, who also holds a French nationality, and works as Head of Heart Surgery Department at the US University Hospital in Paris said that he made the operation without surgery or opening heart and without anesthesia.
 
"It is only catheterization", the Cardiologist added.
 
Dr. al-Khouri had obtained a patent on an invitation in this regard.
